c.o.d.e. is a tribute to two central stars of Jazz history: Ornette Coleman and Eric Dolphy. The project can be quite literally described as „global“. 4 musicians from 3 different countries (among them the widely travelled American Ken Vandermark) play together for the first time to provide a new view of this now “classic” music.

Soundsamples found on a journey between Reykjavik, Waidhofen/Ybbs, Vienna/Floridsdorf, Omsk and Beijing form base and background for Visible jazz. Melancholic weirdly interwoven melodies of saxophone, voice, accordion and guitar rest upon pounding, polyrhythmic riffs of drums & bass, this is the concept of <the monochrome tone>.
