Four rather eccentric men, generally seen wearing black suits, bowler hats and sunglasses and wielding Gibson Flying V guitars (or in one case drumsticks). They tend to produce feelings of euphoria in audiences by writing and playing down-to-earth, blues-based songs with large amounts of enthusiasm. Earthy Blues-Rock at its best!

The musical roots go back to so-called Root Rock, to the fertile soil of the village of Großmutschen and to down-to-earth Rock’n’Roll, spiced with a slight portion of Manna Soul. Manna music is self-made with lyrics in German and BBC-English which arise from the flow of consciousness.

Four songs liftet from their debut album [artverwandt und penetrant] and one videoclip from filmmaker Franz Kern. The musical roots go back to so-called Root Rock, to the fertile soil of the village of Großmutschen and to down-to-earth Rock’n’Roll, spiced with a slight portion of Manna Soul.

The base is an uncompromising balance between all the trenches of rock music that plays around every cliché with feminine elegance, just to finally resolve it. Along with sweaty, powerful guitar riffs that cast a spell over each sceptic.

"Wonderfully creative songs and the interesting addition of horns, keys and even an accordion make for a perfect stage on which the sometimes surreal lyrics can dance."

"15 For The Jukebox" contains the highlights of the previous studio albums from The Base, which were combined with new material. With fragile lyrics, bruised blues and raddled rock'n'roll The Base come to terms with their experiences and link them to a dense, atmospheric sound structure.
