Christoph Pepe Auer is a saxophonist and composer who writes melodious themes and combines them with harmonics , influenced by musicians like John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Mark Turner and others. He is one of the new voices in the Austrian Jazz Scene and winner of the "Hans Koller Prize NY-Scholarship '05". His Soloing is like a journey where he always take unexpected turns on which he will be great supported by the band.
Martin Reiter is a very special pianist who understands supporting a solist and doing "his own thing" at the same time. He is also a marvelous solist. Matthias Pichler on bass is bringing the music to another level which also other musicians appreciate. So he is also sideman of Wolfgang Muthspiel and Harry Sokal and one of the most wanted bassplayers in Austria and beyond. Together with Klemens Marktl on the drums they build an amazing rhythm section. Klemens is a Fresh Sound Artist and performs with musicians from New York like Seamus Blake, Aaron Goldberg, Matt Pennman etc. |
