Christoph Schellhorn is a guitarist, singer/songwriter from Schwoich/Kufstein in Tirol, Austria. Born in 1983 he started playing guitar at the tender age of 12, teaching himself in the beginning. Among his early “teachers” were international and national big names in music business, such as the amazing, sadly far too soon gone, Chris Jones (USA), guitar virtuoso Jacques Stotzem (B), Austria’s Fingerstyle-Champion Peter Ratzenbeck (A) and many more… Christoph has already played gigs with Kieran Halpin (IRL), Chris Jones (USA), Anth Kaley (GB), Jacques Stotzem (B), Hans Theessink (A), Peter Ratzenbeck (A), Biber Herrmann (D) and regularly with Konrad "bones" Windisch (A) as his first-choice-sideman. As a part of two duos Schellhorn has released two albums so far and has played on several productions in the last few years. Featuring his ability to switch genres fast and always leave his own trademark on the songs he plays on. Therefore he uses several weird open tunings, metal fingerpicks and slide to create both groove and mind blowing solo stuff. In March 2008 Christoph Schellhorn’s first solo-album “Left to Listen” has been released, featuring instrumental pieces written by himself, but mostly new arrangements of songs written by Kieran Halpin, Chris Jones, Tim Wood or ZZ Top and Blues classics in a new suit.
"I'm really enjoying the music. Keep up the good work!" Kieran Halpin

"They're not only good, but NUTS as well!" Chris Jones |
