"One word summarizes Frank Muschalle´s Live: Devastating! Muschalle´s technical ability, his dynamics and his command of blues piano genres are impressive indeed; his compositional strength is exeptional, from blistering romps like "Slotcar Boogie" to more measured pieces like "Bad Excuse Blues". "The Hubbub" nods to "Sweet Home Chicago", and one each from Pinetop Smith and Little Brother Montgomery round out this superb recording. Daniel Gugolz and Peter Müller lend additional support in the rhythm section, but damn if Muschalle doesn´t have it all covered, including feeling: You won´t miss vocals at all."
